Just wanted to share a little win and to say a huge thank you to @⁨Richard Othick⁩.

I’m in the process of renovating an old terraced property so I got Richard in to carry out a retrofit assessment so we can optimise our refurb to improve the EPC rating to a C.
We were 2 points short and had a few options available initially. Richard went away and came back to me a few days later explaining that he can run a bespoke U-Value SAP calculation and get the 2 points we needed without any additional works to what we’re already doing.

I really can’t believe what he’s managed to achieve and how much money he’s saved me. We’ve worked together before and his service has always been fantastic, but this time hes shown just how much of a magician he is.

If youre wanting to improve your EPC ratings I highly recommend you speak with Richard first before spending money on works that may not need doing. As landlords were always looking to save money, and by investing a few hundred pounds, Richard has saved me so much more!

I thought you might be interested to know in the revaluation of Northbrook Street, after the EPC was improved from an 'E', to a 'C'.

These are the indexed valuations by Birmingham Midshires:

19th September 2025 - £323,440 - EPC 'E'
30th December 2025 - £328,829 - EPC 'C'

The only change between the two dates was the EPC. So for this 3 bed, mid terrace house, the increase in value appears to be £5,389.
